A percentage grows with your success. A flat fee doesn't.

Ticketing and marketplace platforms in Indonesia typically take a percentage of every transaction. The arithmetic below is the same event priced both ways, using our published fees and a representative booth price.

When it's the right choice

A percentage fee has one honest advantage: if you sell nothing, you pay nothing. If your event might not happen, that risk transfer has real value. Gelar's free tier up to 50 tables is how we cover the same case without pricing the successful events out.

Side by side

  • How the fee is calculated

    Platforms that take 3.5–5%

A percentage of every tenant payment — typically 3.5% to 5% of the booth price.[1]

    Gelar

A fixed fee for the plotted event, plus 10.000 rupiah per table that actually sells.

  • When you raise your booth prices

    Platforms that take 3.5–5%

The fee rises with them. Charging more per booth costs you more in fees for exactly the same work.[1]

    Gelar

Nothing changes. The fee is set by the tables you plot, not what you charge for them.

  • Comped, barter and sponsor tables

    Platforms that take 3.5–5%

Usually free of fees, since nothing was charged — but they also carry none of the platform's value.[1]

    Gelar

Free of the per-table fee too. A comped table is still plotted, so it counts toward the plotted-event band, but it carries no per-table charge.

  • Who holds the money

    Platforms that take 3.5–5%

Varies by platform; often the platform holds funds and settles on a cycle.[2]

    Gelar

Xendit, a licensed Indonesian payment provider, processes and custodies. Funds release to the organizer on confirmation — Gelar never holds your money.

Worked example

One event, priced both ways.

A 120-table floor plan where 100 tables sell at Rp 2.000.000 each — booth revenue of Rp 200.000.000.

Gelar fees compared with percentage-of-revenue fees for the same event
How it's pricedYou pay
GelarRp 500.000 per-event fee + 100 paid tables × Rp 10.000Rp 1.500.000
A platform taking 3.5%3.5% of Rp 200.000.000 in booth salesRp 7.000.000
A platform taking 5%5% of Rp 200.000.000 in booth salesRp 10.000.000

On this event the percentage model costs 4.7× to 6.7× what Gelar does. The gap widens as your booth prices rise, because our fee doesn't move when your prices do.

Gelar's figures come from our published pricing. The 3.5% and 5% rates are a representative band for percentage-based platforms, not a quote from any specific competitor — check your own provider's current rate before comparing.

Price your own event before you decide.

The calculator uses the same numbers our billing code reads. Put your real table count in and see what Gelar would actually cost.
